Black Friday Predictions: Tablets
Posted October 11, 2017 by GottaDeal.com Staff
Tablets continue to be an extremely popular Black Friday item and that will continue this year. When it comes to tablets, Apple’s iPad lineup is usually at the top of most wish lists, however there are other tablets including Android and Windows models that should also be very popular this year. Let’s get into possible prices this year.
Earlier this year Apple brought out a new iPad Pro 10.5" model to go with their iPad Pro 9.7" and 13” tablets. We've seen lower prices on these models throughout the year and therefore we expect them to appear in Black Friday ads at around $100-200 off their MSRP.
We're also expecting great deals on the base iPad model. We expect this tablet to appear in Black Friday ads for around $249 for the base 32GB version, and possibly lower if Apple cuts the list price before Black Friday. The 128GB version should be $100 more.
Apple continues to sell their iPad mini 4 with nearly the same specs as their base iPad, but in a smaller, more portable design. This model is only made with 128GB of storage. The regular price is $399, however you can expect to pay about $100 less on Black Friday for this still-capable iPad.
Amazon has been offering discounts on its Fire Android-based tablets throughout the year, and we expect that to continue with Black Friday deals on their entire lineup, both from Amazon themselves and from their authorized retailers. The new version of the Fire HD 8 should be available for around $50 this year and the smaller 7" Fire tablet will likely be under $35.
There are countless other Android tablets available from manufacturers such as Samsung, Asus, Toshiba and others. Deals on these models should be plentiful this year as they aren’t in as high of demand as the Apple models. Samsung’s Galaxy tablets will typically be available on sale for the sale price at nearly every retailer on Black Friday.
