Black Friday Predictions: Tablets

Posted October 1, 2018 by Staff

Tablets continue to be an popular Black Friday item, although as phones have become larger the excitement of Black Friday tablet deals isn't what it used to be. When it comes to tablets, Appleís iPad lineup is usually at the top of most wish lists, however there are other tablets including Android and Windows models that should also be very popular this year. Letís get into possible prices this year.

Earlier this year Apple brought out a new iPad model to go with their iPad Pro models which has been very popular. We've seen lower prices on these models throughout the year and therefore we expect them to appear in Black Friday ads at around $100-200 off their MSRP.

Apple is expected to release new iPad Pro models later this month, although you shouldn't expect many Black Friday deals on those models just yet.

Apple continues to sell their iPad mini 4 with nearly the same specs as their base iPad, but in a smaller, more portable design. This model is only made with 128GB of storage. The regular price is $399, however you can expect to pay about $100 less on Black Friday for this still-capable iPad.

Amazon has been offering discounts on its Fire Android-based tablets throughout the year, and we expect that to continue with Black Friday deals on their entire lineup, both from Amazon themselves and from their authorized retailers. The new version of the Fire HD 8 should be available for around $40 this year and the smaller 7" Fire tablet will likely be under $25.

There are countless other Android tablets available from manufacturers such as Samsung, Asus, Toshiba and others. Deals on these models should be plentiful this year as they arenít in as high of demand as the Apple models. Samsungís Galaxy tablets will typically be available on sale at many retailers on Black Friday.
